Startling! Shin Megami Tensei 3 and 5 Coming to Nintendo Switch

Back, Nintendo gives a surprise via video Nintendo Mini Direct last Monday (20/7), namely the announcement of the release of two games Shin Megami Tensei on Switch.

In the 8-minute video, Nintendo showcases some of the games that will be coming to the Switch. Unexpectedly, in the last 4 minutes, a video appeared Shin Megami Tensei trailer.

Not just one, but two games namely Shin Megami Tensei 3 HD Remaster and Shin Megami Tensei 5. Of course the fans are very happy with this news.

Shin Megami Tensei 3 HD Remaster

Yes, games Shin Megami Tensei which was released in 2003, got HD remaster which will be released for Nintendo Switch and PS 4.

Of course, apart from improving the graphics, for the first time, Shin Megami Tensei this time there will be additional character voices. Yes, for PS 2 version, games it has no character voice. So longtime fans finally get to know how each character sounds.

If you think that Dante will appear again, it’s a shame but that won’t happen due to the expiration of the contract between Capcom and Atlus. Instead, Raidou Kuzunoha from the series Devil Summoner which will be lively. Raidou has appeared in SMT 3 Nocturne Maniax Chronicle Edition.

SMT 3 HD Remaster will release in Japan on October 29, 2021 while in the west in Spring 2021.

For the Japanese region, Atlus has prepared a limited edition consisting of coffee from Shin Megami Tensei the magazine”Ayakashi Special Final Issue” 106 pages, aroma lamp Amala, box vortex, 2 new piano arrangement discs, and “Rare Soundtrack“.

SMT 3 HD remaster the standard will be priced at JPY 5,980 (approximately IDR 825,000) while the limited edition will cost JPY 13,980 (approximately IDR 1,930,000)

Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne is games made by Atlus which was released for PS2 in 2003. This game got 2 revisions. Shin Megami Tensei 3 tells the story of a young man who survived the apocalypse, then got the opportunity to form a new world.

SMT 5

After 3 years of no news since the Nintendo Switch release event in 2021, many thought that Shin Megami Tensei 5 is dead, or Atlus has forgotten. It seems that the conjecture was repelled by Atlus where it finally appeared trailers new and release info for this game. Shin Megami Tensei 5 will be an exclusive release for the Nintendo Switch which is slated to be out in 2021.

Interesting thing about trailers this time, the protagonist for this game is shown which looks similar to Flynn, the protagonist SMT 4. Then Atlus has announced that later SMT 5 will be released simultaneously worldwide.

JRPG fans especially Shin Megami Tensei certainly happy to hear the news that Shin Megami Tensei 3 and 5 are coming to Nintendo Switch.
